The AGA Philadelphia Chapter proudly participated in Temple University’s Career Day, where former Chapter President Layna Holmes-Butler, CPA, CGFM, spoke with students about the value and versatility of a career in accounting. Representing AGA, Layna shared insights on the broad opportunities available within the profession, from public service to private industry, and highlighted how accounting provides a strong foundation for entrepreneurship and leadership.

During the event, Layna discussed her own journey, including discovering her passion for accounting at Temple University’s Fox School of Business. She encouraged students to consider the lifelong benefits of understanding the “language of business” and how accounting skills can open doors across all sectors.
