Anni Simonait serves as Treasurer for the AGA Philadelphia Chapter, bringing more than 15 years of auditing expertise from the HHS Office of Inspector General (OIG) Office of Audit Services (OAS). Throughout her career, Anni has developed deep experience in internal quality control reviews, audit resolution, data analysis, and regulatory compliance. She began her OIG journey in 2009 auditing Medicare Part D and has since contributed to numerous complex audits and cross-component workgroups supporting the OIG mission.

Anni’s proficiency in evaluating programs, implementing audit recommendations, and strengthening internal systems has led to her selection for high-profile audits—including those requested by Congress—and for providing audit support to OIG investigators. She has also served as a mentor, a Statistical Specialist, a member of the OAS Audit Policy Committee, and part of the 2024 Yellow Book Implementation Working Group.

Her accomplishments have earned her multiple honors, including a CIGIE Award for Excellence, the Inspector General’s Cooperative Achievement Award, and several OIG Exceptional Achievement Awards. Prior to her audit career, Anni retired from the U.S. Air Force as a Combat Arms Training and Maintenance Instructor. She later earned her Bachelor of Science in Accounting with a Minor in Business Law from Penn State University.
